Plant description
Top-grafted at 45cm to form a lollipop-shaped plant, this low-growing crab apple is perfect for pots or borders, where it will offer a long season of colour and interest. In mid- to late spring the crown of the plant is studded with red buds, which go on to open to white flowers. Then, towards the end of summer, small yellow fruits appear and these not only look good, but they will also help attract birds to the garden. Finally, at the tail end of the season, the normally green leaves turn bright yellow shades before they drop for winter. It’s a hard-working addition to the patio or a smaller garden.
